The location of this hotel just next door to the garden at the rear of the property and the Caledonian canal enters Loch Ness and restaurants was magnificent and perfect. The rooms were decent size, there was a comfortable bed.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decor of the hotel. The interior design had a classic touch with beautiful furniture and lovely artwork on the walls. It made me feel right at home, and as a senior woman, I appreciated the comfortable seating areas in the hotel's general areas. It was also great that the hotel had well-lit hallways and easy-to-navigate stairs, making it accessible for senior guests like myself.
It would have been even better if the hotel had some sort of organized activities or excursions specifically geared towards senior guests. A little more attention and consideration towards the needs and preferences of senior vacationers would have made the experience even more enjoyable.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent and the rooms were top-notch, with beautiful decoration and luxurious amenities like jacuzzi baths and four-poster beds. The friendly and attentive staff, including Alisdair and Taylor, were extremely helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable.
The menu for breakfast could be improved by offering a wider variety of cooked Scottish dishes, such as haggis, black and white pudding, and potato scones.

I recently stayed at a budget-friendly accommodation in Fort Augustus and had a great experience. The location was perfect, with a beautiful garden at the rear of the property and stunning views of the canal and Loch. The room was clean and comfortable, with a powerful shower and luxurious jacuzzi bath to relax in after a long day. The breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of fresh and delicious choices. The friendly hosts provided great service and were knowledgeable about the area. it felt like staying in a 4-star hotel rather than a B&B.
I did notice a slight smoky smell in the room and the bedding, which was a bit of a downside.

Appin House offers packed lunches, perfect for those times I don't feel like going out to eat. The accommodation has a lovely garden, so I can pretend to be close to nature while sipping my tea.
Oh, how I love the thrill of not knowing if my room will be clean or if there will be anyone to greet me upon arrival. So unexpected!

I recently stayed at Appin House in Fort Augustus for a weekend getaway. The rooms were spotless with high quality furnishings and fittings. The bathrooms were a favorite, especially the fantastic jacuzzi bath. The breakfast options were excellent, and the owner, Alistair, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the town center and with ample parking on-site. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone visiting the stunning Loch Ness!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We loved the quiet location of the B&B, just a short walk from the village amenities. The host, Alasdair, was welcoming and knowledgeable about local dining options and attractions. The shower room was envy-inducing and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. a gem of a place in a great spot!
Felt completely at ease during our stay, with Alasdair always there to help. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
